Bisan Hussam

I am a passionate educator and visual artist with a robust background in teaching and research, currently based in London, UK. Over the past several years, I have designed and delivered various learning experiences in both academic and non-academic settings. As a visiting lecturer at the University of Westminster and other institutions, I have led workshops, reading groups, and purposeful visits, tailoring each session to meet the diverse needs of my students. My approach emphasizes a dynamic blend of theoretical exploration and hands-on practice, fostering an inclusive and engaging environment that inspires learners to excel.

In addition to teaching, I am a practice-based PhD holder in art from the University of Westminster, where I explored the intersection of art, history, and society through innovative methods. This research and my extensive artistic practice have equipped me with unique insights into connecting with students at varying levels of expertise and fostering critical thinking and creativity.

I am drawn to this role as a private tutor at FindTutors because I can work one-on-one with students across various age groups and levels, supporting their individual learning journeys. I am especially eager to bring my expertise in fine art disciplines—from the basics of drawing, painting and photography to contemporary art and art history—to a role that values enthusiasm and innovation.
