I firmly believe that concentrating on your areas for improvement will increase your chances of success. In order to always know what the student is doing well and what the student isn't doing well in, I like to test the student on a frequent basis. My courses will have a strong emphasis on practise, as improvement, no matter how tiny, is always possible with practise. I had a difficult time with arithmetic and detested it in the beginning of secondary school. This was a result of me constantly waiting until the last day before I had to turn in my schoolwork. In order to practise and complete math every day, I adjusted my timetable and made sure to finish my assignments in intervals. As a result of being on a regular schedule and answering more questions correctly, this immediately improved my grade and made me more interested in arithmetic. Since math is a skill that must be developed through practise, I think I can help children love math while also doing their best.
