Beverley Hibbert

With over 20 years of classroom teaching experience, I bring extensive knowledge to my tutoring sessions. My lessons are tailored to each student's needs and learning styles to create an engaging and interactive learning experience.

My sessions typically start by reviewing previous material and checking for understanding. Then we explore new concepts and skills, and I present the information in multiple ways to engage all types of learners – auditory, visual and kinesthetic. Hands-on activities, demonstrations and thought-provoking questions are used regularly to actively involve students. Mistakes are viewed as opportunities to learn and I coach students to build their critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

My ultimate goal is to equip students with the knowledge, skills and confidence to succeed independently. I help them identify their strengths and areas for improvement, providing constructive feedback and praise to bolster self-esteem. With my support, students gain the tools to take ownership over their learning and reach their academic potential.

My wealth of experience paired with a student-focused approach promotes a positive, engaging learning climate where students can flourish. I pay close attention to signs of confusion or disengagement, adjusting my approach accordingly. Patience and encouragement are always present as I guide students to find the answers for themselves.
