Hi!! I teach chemistry and mathematics. I believe a fun and patient environment helps to boost morale and ensures the students are relaxed and enjoying the lesson. I usually teach online, but I am based in liverpool and am willing to travel locally. I believe practice questions are the core of learning and i would run the sessions mainly using questions.
Each week we would have a recap of the previous and then talk over anything the student has struggled with over the past week. I would recommend the student keeps a tutor file and anytime they find something they are struggling with they should note it down for our sessions.
Ideally this would be done on teams or zoom depending on the availability. I’m open to doing group tutoring if the students feel more comfortable doing so.
I understand the difficulty in learning new content, still being a university student myself, and I feel this gives me an advantage as I am still learning new ways to revise.
