In my lessons, we will be setting up creative and critical work directed towards the GCSE English Language and Literature curriculum. Throughout tutoring, we will be looking at all texts relevant to the course as well as expressing language through creative writing. As a prospective trainee teacher, all my lessons are professional and to a high standard. As a Creative Writing student in my final year, I have a high level of English and a passion for teaching.
My main aim of my lessons is ensuring that students understand their set texts and how to create a meaningful piece of creative writing. With everything we learn in my lessons, we will be looking at how the student understands what I have taught them, to ensure they leave my lesson having learnt everything they needed to. My lessons are very well prepared and can improvise a lesson with ease. I have lots of experience with lesson plans and have a vast knowledge of the curriculum as well as the subject itself.
My main aim of tutoring is to help students achieve to very best they can, while ensuring they learn along the way. I don’t like my lessons to be all about memorising poems and sticking strictly to the curriculum. I much prefer to teach a student what they want to learn, teach it in a way that suits them so they can fully understand the subject. This will allow them to learn more and get them interested in the best subject taught! If I can inspire just one student to take an interest in Literature or Creative Writing, then I believe I have successfully completed my job!
