Benjamin in a nutshell
I will use a variety of tools to assist your learning. Powerpoints, although cliche, are very helpful for the presentation of information and I will utilise them alongside quizzes and other ways to test your ability. Exposure to true Japanese media will also be implemented.

I will tailor my lessons to what you need. If you have no prior knowledge, great! We can start from the most basic of the basics. If you have prior knowledge, we will reaffirm what you know but skip further down the line.
As much as I'd like to say tests and qualifications don't matter, the JLPT qualification is the universal way of measuring one's Japanese language ability and I believe that through my lessons, we can take you from nothing to JLPT N4 in a year or so. But a slower pace is also great!
I have a First Class Honours degree from a top 10 in-course English University and, having spent a year in Japan, I fully believe that I can help you on your journey by avoiding the pitfalls I fell down on my journey from newcomer to expert. Learning Japanese is a slow process, as learning any language can be, and is considered one of the most difficult for native English speakers to grasp. But it is possible with periodic study. Just 10 minutes per day can be enough for some people.
I hope you consider me as your tutor and I will be happy to answer any questions you might have for me.
Thanks!
