I tailor my lessons according to my students. I would discuss what the student is aiming for and what areas their strengths and weaknesses. From this i would proceed to use my resources to tailor my classes according to the student's weaknesses in order to tackle them. At the start and end of each lesson, i would ask questions regarding the topic, like a starter and plenary, in order to understand where my students are working at and what i need to do so that they reach their best.
