I have achieved academic excellence throughout my school career and I want to enable as many people as I can to do the same. I was awarded 4 A*s at A Level including Further Maths and I achieved a First in my degree’s first year. I helped my younger siblings academically as they progressed through GCSEs and A Levels which gives me a thorough understanding of academic teaching. I have also been a watersports coach for all ages for 5 years which is where my patience and tailored teaching style comes from. I believe from my own school experience that Maths is best learned by first understanding some new content and then reinforced by as many worked examples and practice questions as possible. This is the approach I used and continue to use for all my exams. Of course, if this style does not work, there are other methods that I will use. In my lessons, the dynamic is friendly but professional. The student will command as much respect of me as I of them. This enables a strong academic discussion in my lessons which reinforces concepts and techniques.
