Ben Lloyd

Hi! I'm Ben, an Oxford History student and general History buff. I love the subject, and have applied my love directly into my work.

I like to use very personalised formats in classes, working closely with students to cater to their individual needs. I particularly emphasise essay-based skills, which are crucial for A-Level subjects. I provide a variety of resources and explain them in depth to my students, using examiners' reports and past papers to locate areas in my students' skillsets that need improvement. I will spend time with my students perfecting essay writing skills, while also building up my students' confidence and skills in source analysis, understanding historical contexts, and reading/note-taking.

I have recently studied History at GCSE, A-level, and at Oxford University, achieving year-group-topping grades and high/full-graded essays as well as multiple academic scholarships. A lot of this was self-taught, deriving straight out of a passion for the subject and a desire to learn more, but much of what I learnt I want to pass on. I believe I can transform anybody's grade!
