I am a well-knowledgeable undergraduate Geography student at Newcastle University, achieving A*AB at A level, and 7 grades 9-7 at GCSE. I specialise in GCSE and A level Geography, but am adaptable to teach Physics too. I currently specialise in economic and development geographies, along with geohazards and risk mitigation.
My lessons will be interactive, with me giving a series of prompts and questions to make you think about things more broadly, and look into different aspects and perspectives of topics. To begin the tutoring between us we will categorise topics in terms of how well you understand them, then work from there to create foundational knowledge, and then build from there!
Throughout the tutoring, I will provide you with tips and recommendations from my time doing exams, including revision timetables, exam techniques, and what areas to focus your interest to get the most marks and understanding of the content. The content is a great way to revise and learn, but exam technique is just as important as this is what will get you the amazing grade you are after.
At the end of each lesson, there will be a small task to complete between then and our next lesson (will usually be in the form of reading from an extract/ textbook, some small questions, a documentary to watch or current affairs to better understand).
I can provide you with an array of interesting and obscure case studies to support your long answer questions, as using different case studies does tend to lead to better marks!
