I am an experienced artist, recently graduated with a bachelors in Fine Art, having been a practising artist for many years beforehand. I currently work out of a studio in Wellington, Shropshire, where I produce dioramas, resing pieces, and polymer clay pieces. I also have close ties with the Belfrey theatre, where I construct and paint sets, and make props. I have worked in a variety of art media; from drawing and painting, to sculpture, to music, even to video editing and acting.

My teaching style is like my learning style: learn by doing. In my lessons, I will work alongside you to produce a piece that uses fundamental techniques, and gives you an understanding of how they work together. My artistic procerss has always been organic, but a good understanding of structure is important. I often find if you know where you're going, how you get there is up to you, but it is also being subject to change. In order to be fluid in your approach to a creative project, you must first build up a good understanding of the fundamentals of whatever medium you are working in. By doing so, you arm yourself with the tools to work around any circumstance.

I have been informally teaching people for years. I'm always happy to impart knowledge on others, and love seeing people work through something and come away with a new understanding, and something they can hold up and say "I did that!" Beyond just producing individual pieces, my years of experience of also taught me healthy ways to approach how I feel about my art. Confidence is something you have to build yourself, but there are ways you can approach your work that will minimise negative feelings about what you produce.

If you book a lesson with me, you can learn in a professional workshop environment, with a relaxed and informal atmosphere, from someone with years of experience, and a friendly personality.
