I have been teaching English in schools and one o one for over 20 years and am familiar with multiple examination boards. My success rate at improving the results of the students I tutor by one level or two is 100%, particularly with GCSE.
I have a good rapport with my students and their parents who often chat to me about their progress once they have entered the workplace or university.
I believe that my approach is confident, articulate with strong interpersonal, presentation and organisational skills. I have devised unique methods for teaching creative writing and analytical writing which have afforded much success to students I also have substantial experience in the research, collation and presentation of training course materials and a wide range of administrative skills. Her experience includes teaching at a University workshop preparing students for degrees. I am particularly passionate about teaching English Literature GCSE and A Level but am very happy to teach Language and Literature up to A level. I take a student led approach in lessons in which a balance of structural and creative techniques are covered.
I have developed step by step approaches to essay planning and writing which to date, never fail to increase confidence and success in students.
I am happy to teach on line or at my own premises. I occasionally meet students at the library and will come to homes of students who live very locally. I am also happy liaising with the class teachers of students at their schools.
