I love learning languages, so after studying English at school, I knew I wanted to pursue a career connected with languages. I chose a Translation and Interpreting degree. In addition, as there are many teachers in my family, teaching was immediately on my radar. That is how I graduated as an English teacher, after studying Translation and since then I began teaching Spanish to foreigners as well.
I have also tutored and taught specific contents for ESP programs. I worked at Universidad de Chile, as an English teacher for undergraduate students, and I realized I was good at helping beginners. I learned about scaffolding and the importance of speaking and using the language as a language learner myself. I think everyone can learn a foreign language and I motivate my students with language learning strategies and techniques so they know it is up to them to master the language.
