Hi! My name is Bea. I am a spanish masters student studying Conflict, Security and Development at Kings College London. I also hold a BA in History and International Relations from Lancaster University (First Class). I have studied spanish in both the spanish system (ESO) and the English system. I hold both GCSE (A*) and A Level (A) qualifications therefore I am familiar with the examinations. I have no teaching experience however, I tutored other students in both French and History for two years when I was at school in Madrid. Furthermore, I have experience working with children, as I have engaged in a number of volunteering opportunities (namely for AESCDG, a rare disease association in Spain) which has required me to take care of children with a rare disease in the absence of their parents.
I am happy to help anyone who wants to either learn independently or who is taking an exam. My lessons would be based around areas that my student needs to reinforce. As I am spanish, my skills will be partucularly useful for practicing speaking skills such as conversation, accents and pronunciation. Furthermore, I can incorporate the practice of listening, reading and translation skills through the use of spanish texts, music and films to make the lessons entertaining. This will also give my students an insight into spanish culture. For those who are beguiners, I can help master verb conjugations and sentence structures which can prove really hard at times as well as offering easier and more tailored versions of what was mentioned above.
