Since observing Alan Ayckbourn while I was training as an actor, I have been excited and intrigued by directing. After 7 years working as an actor I directed my first play and have since directed several theatre productions in the UK and have recently turned my attention to behind the camera.

My experience with Barry’s drama classes was good fun and lots learned from him , also he would be there for you and support you with good advice anytime it was needed . I appreciated his kindness always! he’s extremely generous and genuine person always willing to do his best for you , i can highly recommend him as a tutor .

Barry was one of my lecturers at the University of Salford, where I studied Media and Performance. I thoroughly enjoyed his classes, his teaching style, and the energy he brought to our group. He taught me valuable techniques that have proven effective and that I still use today. After graduating, I continued working with Barry to further hone my acting skills, develop my showreel, and prepare for upcoming auditions. Barry is a fantastic coach, he can pick out your strengths and really drive them into your performance but he can also pick up on stages your may be lacking in and help you break down those walls he isn’t afraid to make you question your self and push you out your comfort zone l! Fantastic tutor who has taught me a lot
