I create fun and engaging lessons that are tailored to the specific needs of my students. I motivate my students by choosing topics they are interested in or I let them choose the topics themselves. In order to make the lessons more exciting I incorporate visuals, short videos or computer animated brainstorming activities to appeal to visual learners. Computer based grammar or vocabulary games are often part of my lessons which aim to review what we have covered so far or to identify gaps in a student’s knowledge. I engage with my students by simply asking a series of questions to get them talking about themselves and their life experiences. Beginning a lesson with a simple conversation about everyday topics is usually a great start to a successful lesson.
