I am currently a High School Math Teacher (9th and 10th Grade at an International School in Cairo, Egypt. The focus has been teaching through project based learning. My previous job was teaching Algebra, Middle Math, and Special Education Teacher in Virginia Beach City Public Schools in Virginia Beach, Virginia USA that followed an IB curriculum. I have experience teaching Algebra (grades 9-10), middle school math (grades 6-8), and Special Education(K-12), and SOL Prep. I have a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Advertising/Communication from Michigan State University, and a Masters of Business Administration(MBA) from University of Michigan. .

I describe my teaching style in the following way: “ I promote a positive learning environment through listening and asking questions. I also encourage students to take ownership of their learning. It is important to have an understanding of the students’ needs and what motivates them.
Experience working with students not fluent in the English language. I have a solid understanding of cultural difference as students could be from a range of backgrounds.

I look forward to working with you and helping you meet your academic goals. During our sessions you will have the opportunity to review content where you have challenges. On a weekly basis you will be given feedback on your progress. I will also help you develop good study habits. My goal is to help you meet your academic goals. I am available to work with you anytime Monday through Sunday.
