I have a major interest in science, particularly Biology and Chemistry. I am also a keen Geographer. I am currently studying Biology, Chemistry and Geography A-Level at St John Rigby College in Wigan. I am keen to share my knowledge of these very interesting subjects with others to help them if they are struggling, and my will to serve others and to help people through their weaknesses will continue to be my drive, motivation and my goal when it comes to this tutoring role.
My lessons will be using many different formats, and are available to change, so that the student will benefit the most. I will always try to make my lessons very enjoyable and also top quality, so the student gains as much knowledge as possible from them. I am very good at explaining things in ways that make the topic easy to understand and will continue to use this skill to my advantage to benefit the students as much as possible.
Retrieval is my number 1 method of revision and going over content, so I will be using many retrieval methods in my lessons. My favourite method of retrieval is a "look, cover, write, check" layout, where students will read revision notes, then put them away and "brain dump" everything they can remember, and then finally they would check their notes again and add anything they missed off. I am a real fan of this method, but I have many other methods of covering content that can suit any student and their preferences. I am open to using any method of revision, as long as that method is what benefits the student the most.
