I have been a primary teacher, taught in a private college TEFL for young foreign migrants and worked as a tutor, for 15 years. I have taught children and young adults languages and a wide variety of subjects. I have a TEFL qualification as well as Qualified Teacher Status. I also teach adults online 1:1 and in small groups English for business or leisure.

I teach through written, spoken and creative mediums, using lots of examples, conversation, images and text to enhance learning through a creative curriculum and focused scenarios. There is a high level of verbal interaction and emphasis on student active participation to build confidence and fluency in all areas of language acquisition.

If a student/s needs a particular focus for a forthcoming event/area of expertise then lessons can be created/designed to support the vocabulary and specific knowledge required. The emphasis is on both the technical building blocks of language and practical applications.

This is all achieved via both relaxed and formal methods of acquiring language to ensure that correct grammar and spelling is as important as the conversational fluency and understanding of pronunciation and deciphering written texts and audio transcripts with accurate comprehension and translation skills.

I always ensure that there is continuity of learning and steady progression of tasks and learning in line with each student's aptitude and capabilities.

I will not have reviews as I am not allowed to request recommendations from students in the school system who have been my students. However, a free trial lesson will enable you to judge for yourself!
