I’m my presentation I use a variety of formats and style depending on the module or lesson from PowerPoints to lecture my students and excel for data handling and lab results. However, when it comes to in person lessons I still incorporate online formats like word documents with a notepad and pen to teach the student. Furthermore, my presentations can be seen in person if the student does not have access to online courses/classes as I would bring my own equipment to the student. But it is recommend to have your own. Pencil, pen and ruler just incase as I do hand out homework to see if the student is catching on, and up to date on the subject.
When it comes to data handling and going over lab results, I tend to use excel for my students as it is a valuable and reliable to learn especially if your child is going to try and peruse science in the future as most scientists and university lecturers use this format. This would be done online, however as I have stated before if it is difficult for the student to attend these online lessons. I have no problem in teaching excel in person with my laptop as I have full access to these formats that I pay yearly for.
Thank you for reading this over, I hope that reading this will help you feel more confident and motivated to try and improve your sciences skills and make your dream job a success.
