Growing up in a French household in London, I learnt to deal with multiple languages at a young age, constantly switching between French and English settings. I attended a French school and am currently working towards the IBDP in May 2024, with the French A Language and Literature course (average grade of 7/7).

This background has equipped me with a deep understanding of the language and the skills necessary to teach it. I have also learnt about French culture through many interactions with family members and other French students I met at school.

I would be able to tutor students at any level and any age, from beginners to those wanting to perfect their speaking or literary analysis skills. This could be beginner students learning the language or students working towards a certification such as their French GCSE or A-Levels. Furthermore, I have experience tutoring children aged 7 and 8 in French and have engaged in peer tutoring schemes in school. The French tutoring involved basics such as reading, writing and speaking, with activities such as reading texts with comprehension questions, conversations, and creative writing.

During this time, I learnt how to help students navigate their problems to reach their goals by adapting the lessons to the students and how to manage working with students of different levels.

I would be able to tutor online and hope to bring an engaging and productive lesson to students through a range of activities, which I hope will bring a positive learning experience.

I am committed to helping students improve their language skills while also gaining an appreciation of the French language, literature and culture.
