Hi, I’m Aysha, a second year medical student at the university of Liverpool. For my A levels, I did Biology, chemistry and business, as well as an EPQ, and I achieved A*AAA.
In my spare time, I document my journey on TikTok (@easystudies) and I’d love to help you improve grades, and provide any advice for succeeding in academia.
For lessons, I have notes which cover everything you need to know and I’d teach you the content whilst making sure you understand it along the way. I’d also have a few practise questions at the end to ensure you’ve understood the topic properly.
Since lessons are 1 hour long, I’d spend 45 minutes teaching the content and 15 minutes for questions. At the end of the lesson, I’d ask you what they would like the next lesson to be on, so I can prepare my notes and questions for you.
When the next lesson starts, I’d spend a few minutes at the beginning to ensure you are happy with the previous lesson and there’s no outstanding queries so I can move on to the next topic.
I think this method would be good to ensure you have properly understood the topics I am teaching and helping you on, so it would help you in the long term to remember it.
I would also do a mini quiz every few lessons which have questions about the topics I have taught in the sessions leading up to the quiz to help with active recall and spaces repetition, which is really good for memory!
