Hi, I'm Ayla! I'm half Italian and British, and I'm here to support you on your English-learning journey in a way best suited to you. I love learning about and sharing my own languages and cultures. Outside of lessons I'm an artist, yogi and beach lover.
In my lessons I work with you, your interests and your learning methods. My style is quite informal, I like to keep the environment relaxed and chatty - I feel that a comfortable setting leads to more agreeable learning!
I am here to help you learn English to achieve your goal, whatever that may be. Everyone learns differently, I welcome you and will support you however you learn best.
I'm a firm believer in immersing yourself inn the culture of the language you're learning, so I use authentic materials with my students. We will discuss your goals, hobbies and interests; before each lesson I will send you an authentic material (something that native speakers consume - such as an article/video/podcast) based off something that may interest you and be conducive to conversation. We'll discuss the material in our lessons, what you've learnt from it, and our opinion of it. This is a simple, natural way to learn new vocabulary, practice using it in conversation and use the English language the way native speakers do.
I am TEFL (level 5 ) qualified and, although I can and have taught all ages at all levels, I have found I work best with adults who want to improve their conversational English.
