I have completed my PGCE in Primary Education at Leeds Beckett University. I have four years experience tutoring groups of six students aged four to fourteen in Maths and English at a tuition centre and
online. I can use effective communication skills, written and verbal to explain methods to students for example solving maths problems using the whiteboard.
I have awareness of special educational needs and cultural needs of children.
I completed written session notes to provide feedback to parents at the end of each tutoring sessions. I like to use rewards to motivate the students for example at the tutoring centre I gave points after each session which led to prizes. My preferred tutoring style is using visual methods like PowerPoint and videos. Also, I like playing educational games as starters and doing quizzes to check the student's understanding.
