We will be tackling lots of vocabulary and grammar, whilst ensuring you’ve got the right prononciation. The conjugation will require a lot of active recall and we will often combine the vocabulary and verbs we’ve learned to form coherent sentences. We will go through different texts, which would require you to read and translate what you’ve understood in english. You will further answer the questions, I will later ask in terms of the text. We will also enhance your listening skills, where you will listen to a scenario and then answer the following questions asked of you. I will teach you the conjugation of verbs in different tenses. To make lessons more fun, from time to time we will include french songs, where I will have you translate what you’ve understood and re-pronounce the sentences with the correct meaning. Music can definitely be very helpful in learning new words and helping you feel engaged in the language. This is one way I’ve improved my french, especially when it comes to pronunciation. French can be a rather challenging language to learn and fully master, given its differences to the english language ( objects, nouns, etc… being gendered). For example, une chaise ( a chair, feminine); un gateau (a cake, male). However despite the difficulties, practice and effort makes perfect and with hardship comes ease. consistency is key and your practice will pay off. I hope to provide an enjoyable experience that will enhance and improve your french language skills. Where we start off is all dependent on your level.
