History is a very fascinating subject with a lot of range. I intend to teach in the most engaging way possible while remaining in line with what is required. I also can teach analysis of content which is a particularly important skill in examinations and essay writing. For any revision for examinations I will use the specification as a guide for my teaching content. We will use a range of teaching materials, all suited to the student. This can include posters, annotated notes, flashcards and more. I am also able to deeply research, collate and present/teach information about any time period desired. This is another useful skill that can also be taught to the student.
My style of lessons is very personalized. I like to address learning style in my teaching. People learn in different ways. For instance, for a visual learner we may use images and flash cards. The lessons will also depend on age group and the goals you set. This could range from a little ones first introduction to History to revising for A levels. Overall, the sessions will be what the tutee needs them to be.
