I am a passionate male Nigerian teacher with adequate experience and understanding of the various topics required for my learners to appreciate Biology better. I have taught this subject for over five years and have gone ahead to prepare a number of students in my place of work for internal and external examinations such as JAMB, IGCSE, WAEC and others. Most of these students came out successful in this subject area because of the methods I adopted and the confidence I instilled in them.
I use very good learning materials such as videos, pictures, images of natural environments, models and live specimens of living organisms to carryout my lessons where necessary.
I also take my students to the field if need be to have a hands-on experience of the practical aspect of Biology.
As a life science, Biology is an interesting subject because it studies plants and animals as well as microorganisms which are part of our natural environment...we see them, we feel them, we experience the effects of nature in our life everyday. It is not an abstract subject, rather a practical and interesting one.
Therefore, the way I present my lessons in PowerPoint slides and other fascinating formats will encourage my learners and make them increase their passion and zeal to learn biology.
Also, as a student too, I am an active researcher. I go ahead to find out more about the latest developments in Biology and impact same in my learners.
I am a positive minded teacher and believe that my learners will have a good time learning from me.
