I taught secondary for 2 years and have taught university for 5 years. I have also been tutoring for 8 years. My teaching method is to meet the student individually where they are and adjusting based on their own learning style whether that be auditory, visual, kinetic, etc. I also think it is important to mark progress in a number of different methods and prefer those methods not be based on just memorising but about understanding the how and why of each thing as well.
