I have a M PHIL degree in Environmental Sciences. I have been teaching from previous 5 years. I’m also an experienced scientific writer, used to explaining complex ideas in a way that is clear, concise and easy-to-understand. In addition to supporting scientific understanding, I’m also able to help students improve their scientific writing - with mark schemes being so strict, students with a good scientific understanding may still struggle to get the full marks because their are lacking precision in their language or structure in their arguments.
Most importantly I’m very encouraging! I think students put a lot of pressure on themselves to be “perfect” and actually, relieving some of that pressure can reduce stress and help them progress better!
