In my opinion, the best way to learn a new language is to have a mix of verbal and writing discussions - just as my lessons. However, if you are more comfortable with anything else, we can change it. Usually, I prefer giving homework to my students, but we can still do it together.
This is based on my personal experience and the experience of my students. Reading articles in Italian will also be one of the activities during the lessons that can lead us to a whole bunch of new discussions.
