My experience has all been conversational and situational I.E never actually in a professional setting, however; I feel that with a lifetime of being the slightly annoying friend that corrects everyone around me has made me uniquely qualified for such a position. Helping people in any form or fashion has always been part of my personal mandate and an opportunity to achieve satisfaction on a daily basis is a personal dream. Depending on the needs of the individual/individuals I will be teaching I plan to make classes easily digestible by applying real world uses and conversational techniques to a more formal lesson format. The way in which we learn differs from person to person and ultimately has no blanket, one size fits all cure-all. This I see as more of a blessing than a curse when trying to empart any form of instruction or knowledge. The more fluid you keep an educational experience, the more chance you have of achieving a more personal and (most importantly) effective result for the student. Whether online or in private tutor setting I feel like I can have a genuine impact on people that want to start/boost their mastery of the English language. I also believe that patience and a smile are paramount to a positive learning experience. I have firm belief that if you can make a person feel like it's a journey you are holding their hand through, there is a direct correlation to their confidence in taking another step towards their English speaking goals.
