Ge?a!
My name is Aspa and I am a Greek native speaker.
My qualifications:
I am a qualified language tutor (QTS) with a BA in Primary Education from the University of Patras. Holding a Masters Degree from the University of Nottingham in December 2019 with Distinction in Special and Inclusive Education, I have immense experience in inclusive teaching, literacy difficulties and teaching to neurodivergent students.
My working experience:
Regarding my prior working background, I have teaching experience in two Greek Schools in the UK, in the Greek School of Mansfield and in the Greek School of St Demetrios. Except for the UK, I have been teaching Greek in two primary schools in Greece and in one in Poland.
For the past 4 years, I've been working as a teacher in an autistic classroom in South London. At the same time, I am a greek tutor for students who learn greek as a second language or first (bilingual learners) with experience of six years.
My approach:
I teach greek through experiential learning in 1:1 sessions or groups face-to-face. My sessions are play-based and individualised according to the interests and needs of the student.
I believe that a holistic, interest-based, and cross-curriculum experiential learning approach enhances children's confidence and self-esteem and fosters academic, communication, behavioural, executive function, social, and life skills.
My aim is to spend my first tutoring session assessing a new student and then create a tailor-made tuition schedule that is right.

Thank you very much!
