I have one year of tutoring experience, teaching GCSE and A Level Biology and Chemistry. In my tutoring lessons, I set a detailed lesson plan for my students which includes all the content that we will go through, practice questions and exam papers that we will do, as well as discussing the best methods to revise. When going through content together, I will help you to understand difficult concepts by going through them together step by step in detail. I will teach strategies such as blurting and active recall to ensure that you can easily memorise the topics and we will apply our knowledge by answering past paper questions and exam sheets. Some of the sessions will include you completing a past paper and at the end, going through it with me so that we can sharpen your exam technique - this ensures that you are confident on how to answer the questions properly and use key words to gain marks! I do my best to make my lessons interactive and engaging because this helps my students to better retain information. and make the lesson enjoyable. Nearing exam season, we will focus more on how to effectively take condensed notes and revise - every student learns in different ways so I will go through a few different techniques to use until you find one that suits you the best! As a university student myself, I know the stress of exams all too well, so I can help you with how to manage your nerves for the big day and make sure that you achieve the best that you can.
