I have worked with children and am currently a teaching assistant/ 1:1 worker working with children of different skill levels. I also work with SEND students so I have adapted my learning styles to suit different children’s’ needs. I understand the children learn better visually whereas others learn better practically and plan out my work best suiting their learning styles. E.G for long addition I lay out my work on a whiteboard breaking down individual parts and then get students to come up to the board and have a go on their own. If needed then a little bit of guidance can never be a bad thing. What’s most important is progression.
