Despite my lack of tutoring experience in the past, at GCSE level I would always try work alongside my peers in order to ensure that they understand tasks assigned and that they can excel in a topic area. At sixth form, I joined the peer mentor programme where we got given multiple training programmes revolving around working with young people and the importance of active listening - i think this will be very beneficial because it will ensure that students feel respected and comfortable during my lessons.
At GCSE level I achieved a grade 9 with OCR as exam board and then at A level i achieved an A grade with edexcel as my exam board - this highlights my ability to work with students regardless of the specific exam board.
I would say that one of my biggest strengths is my patience - I have always ensured that students can take their time and will never have to rush during my lessons. I would say that despite this I will always push people to try harder questions and be ambitious with their targets.
