I will work with you based on what you need to learn at the time. Working on Verbs? We'll work on those till you have them down. Working on an essay? We'll work on how to properly write an essay without the use of "I" or first person narrative. I work slowly with my students to ensure they get the most out of my tutoring. I want you to succeed as my previous students have, whether it's having trouble moving to the next grade or just not understanding how adjectives work, I'll get you through the brunt of it so you can shine. When it comes to spelling or remembering how certain things work, I use mnemonic sayings to help you remember what you're having trouble with easier.
I really do want to see my students succeed, I may not have ten years of experience, but English was my best subject and I've helped plenty of other students succeed just by giving them little tips and tricks to remember things. I've also helped by explaining what certain types of words do or mean by using things that they're not only familiar with, but that makes sense to them. I know everyone learns a bit differently and that sometimes what one person uses to learn is different from how another learns. My job is to find out what you can best relate to so that you can use that when learning and take what doesn't make sense and relate it to what does make sense to you.
