Ashleigh Wilson

I have studied a Bachelor of Education degree in South African, specialising in English Language and Writing. I have over 5 years experience teaching in both Primary and Secondary Schools across South Africa as well as the Isle of Man, which means I am confident in tutoring a range of curricula as offered in different countries around the world.
I have always found my strength is in supporting smaller groups and one-to-one assistance so I trust that I will be able to assist and support individuals to reaching the personal and academic goals!
I prefer teaching based on prior knowledge, so I am always wanting to encourage students to share on what they know and understand and we work based from that-the lessons are learner centred, its not about me piling on a load of knowledge, its about you developing a confidence towards the content that will enable you to move forward in life!
Although my lessons will have learning goals attached at the beginning to give us direction to what we looking to achieve, my format will be very flexible so there is room for adjustment according to each students needs.
There is room for error-this means we are all on a continuous learning journey and we all make mistakes along the way, I am all for picking up on those mistakes and finding the solutions so all pressure for perfection can be eliminated when I tutor you.
