I have been teaching English for the past eight years, in South Africa, at George Campbell School of Technology and Kloof High School. As a teacher I am enthusiastic, energetic and creative. I am passionate about the English language, and with the start of each academic year, it is my goal to impart this passion to my learners. I am able to do so by truly immersing myself and my students in the content and delivering it in a way that is not only accessible but enjoyable to all my students. To be able to inspire young minds is a gift and as a teacher, I aim to do so in every lesson with every student.
In my previous positions at George Campbell and Kloof High I was responsible for running Grades 8 and 9 (13 – 14 years old) English, as well as creating resources and assessments for Grades 8 – 12 (13 – 18 years old).
I have a keen interest in sport, having played Softball at High School level, and I was involved in Power Lifting before my back injury. This is a sport where one needs to be very disciplined and is certainly a testimony to my grit and determination both in and out of the classroom.
