I have taken courses at a a STEM magnet school with <10% acceptance rate and have found success on top of mentoring other students, who went on to achieve high academic success (A or above). I have experience in the fields of physics, biology, chemistry, math up to Calculus, earth science, computer science, and more!
Tutoring several of peers to achieve new academic heights has led me to develop a set of techniques and skill set that make me uniquely qualified to tutor you or your child.
I prefer to use a virtual whiteboard to explain concepts, as that allows me to adapt to you or your student's learning style, whether that be visual, verbal, logical, auditory, or others. I will be using either google meet or zoom to meet virtually, and am avaliable to meet at Gum Spring Library in Stone Ridge, Virginia for in person meetings, where physical whiteboards can be found in the mostly soundproof study rooms so that I can deliver the same service as I do online and make sure you or your kid is able to retain focus to learn concepts and topics.
I not only am fine with, but actively encourage asking questions while I am teaching, as asking questions is fundamental for the learning process, and helps to create a more fullfilling teaching experience for me, and a better learning experience for you. Feel free to intervene whenever you feel necessary to draw diagrams and ask questions about how a concept works or for further clarification on a topic, as you are here to learn, not just be lectured at.
