• Sales Assistant at Sports Direct between September 2022 – February 2023
I worked with a wide variety of customers and coworkers effectively to ensure high customer satisfaction. I was initially tasked with working the tills where I would process customer orders whilst trying to upsell customers on sports direct own brand products. I successfully persuaded many customers to purchase these additional items whilst earning myself a commission for each product sold. Furthermore, I learned patience from dealing with customers who deliberated over which items to buy but also gaining efficiency for customers who may be in a rush. I regularly took note of items that had moved positions or run out of stock to point customers towards their desired items or regretfully inform them that their item was no longer there. Additionally, I was entrusted to learn an additional skill in checking the cash balances of all the tills after closing to ensure that no money had been stolen or any fraudulent cash had been accepted. It was a valuable experience where I gained many new skills and an appreciation for hard work.
