Hello!
I’m Arthur, and I’m excited to share what my math tutoring sessions are like! Having received a first-class degree from University College London and completed my MSc in Engineering for International Development, I’m deeply grateful for the education I’ve received and eager to pass on my knowledge to younger students.
My lessons are designed to be interactive and engaging, utilizing a gamified approach to make learning fun. I believe that play-based learning is one of the most effective ways to teach, and I incorporate games into my sessions to keep students actively involved. For example, one of my favorite activities is BuzzerBeater, where students race against the clock to solve math questions, like calculating (32*8)/100. This not only helps with quick thinking but also builds confidence in their math skills.
I’ve had the privilege of working with children from diverse backgrounds, including those with learning difficulties. My experience volunteering in South-East Asia taught me the importance of creating a supportive environment, especially for students who may face additional challenges. I’ve spent over 200 hours in classrooms, building meaningful connections and fostering inclusivity.
Closer to home, I ran a youth club for disadvantaged kids, providing a safe space for them to engage in activities and develop new skills. This experience reinforced my belief that education has the power to change lives, and I strive to inspire and empower my students in every session.
I’m offering a free introductory session for you to experience my teaching style firsthand. There’s nothing to lose and everything to gain! I look forward to working together and helping you discover your strengths in math.
Best,
Arthur :)
