I have done previous tutoring with other students and have helped them achieve top grades. The lessons are very enjoyable as the layout isn’t strict or too formal. I will first ensure that you understand the topic and then use past paper questions that I have collected from previous years to make sure that you get enough practise. There will be active recall methods which will be used such as quick fire question at the beginning of the session and spaced repetition to ensure that the content stays in your long term memory by continuously testing the content. The answers to these quick questions are tailored to the mark scheme and the AQA specifications to make sure you hit the mark for exams. You will have some questions that you may need to after the sessions if you need it but this is not always necessary depending on the student. Each lesson is tailored to specific topics such as just focusing on controlling blood glucose levels. This depends on the needs of the student. I do higher and foundation biology both for combined and separate/single science. There are going to be some surprise test to test if the student understand the content and is hitting the mark scheme consistently. These test do not get recorded and are used as a baseline for me to target specific areas of understanding for the student to again make sure they are confident with their knowledge and are able to answer the questions in a specific way to get the marks
