I am a qualified computer science teacher with 10+ years' experience teaching in UK secondary schools. I hold a 1st (hons) BSc in computer science and a Post-graduate Certificate in Education in secondary computing.
I am exceptionally skilled in creating and adapting high-quality resources, leveraging technology in the teaching and learning of computing, and I posses an exceptional subject knowledge in KS3 computing and GCSE and A level computer science.

My approach focusses on using a balanced mix of of hands-on activities, in-depth explanations, guided practice and high-quality bespoke resources.
Having worked with a range of learners with different backgrounds, abilities and learning preferences, I work by assessing the learner's needs to provide the most effective learning experience to maximise progress.

With extensive, in-depth subject knowledge, I can support learners in all aspects of computer science. I am particularly skilled in studying past papers, mark schemes and examiner reports for GCSE and A level qualifications to identify the best way to answer exam questions, and I use this knowledge to guide learners in applying their understanding in a way that enables them to achieve the highest grades.

As a computer science graduate who's been teaching computer science over the past 10+ years, I am a confident programmer in different languages (including Python and Javascript) and I have extensive experience in helping learners become confident programmers. I approach the teaching of programming using clear explanations, live demonstrations and engaging interactive activities that help learners understand the key concepts and build their skills.

My honest, open and result-driven approach aims to ensure that all learners are better prepared for the next step of their learning journey.
