I find best to make a checklist with the student to see where they are struggling and what they need the most attention on. We would go through this checklist with my own teaching and questions I would have for them to solve. After this, we would go through specific exam questions on this topic they are struggling on. We would also go through what they are doing currently in their schools maths lessons and once the student is confident, we would go through exam papers where I will mark and correct. Homework would also be set.
