My teaching style is wholly student centred, with a strong emphasis on understanding the individual needs of the pupil. I will understand what they are good at, as well as areas for improvement. Together we will set clear goals, create a structured plan, and prioritise topics based on their specific needs. I aim to make learning engaging for the student, by ensuring that concepts are understood deeply rather than merely memorised. With continuous feedback and encouragement, I have full faith that the student will progress, and achieve their desired grade.
The first lesson will be free, and involve me asking questions, understanding the pupils ability at each individual topic, and then based upon that, creating a consistent schedule in which I aim to guide the student through their learning journey. My lessons are interactive and adaptive, using a variety of teaching styles to best relate to the student. We will work through questions together, understanding methods and approaches that the student can then use themselves. Step by step, I will teach them why and how methods work, and how to decide which to use. Often, students struggle with this (I've experienced the same problem during my GCSE's), this is usually due to being taught via a PowerPoint slide, or merely less engaging teaching. My teaching style is much different, it will not merely be reading off slides, rather it is interactive, asking the student what they think about certain questions and methods, to impart a valuable way of thinking and going about questions - in this way, the student will be able to use their own initiative to its maximum, and maximise their potential, I aim for every student to reach this.
