I have plenty of experience dealing with pupils from a variety of different backgrounds. My lessons are very interactive and last for one hour each. Typically, at the start of each lesson I set a student with a task, whether that be a text or a poem and ask him to analyse the extract in front of him. I find this to be a fantastic way to engage the brain, as well as allowing me to assess his ability. From there, I identify the student's weaknesses and look to improve them as best as I can. A lot of my students struggle with many different aspects of GCSE English, whether that be Shakespeare, poetry or an extract taken from a book, or for some it can be all three. As a result, wherever the weakness may be it is my job to attack it through my various teaching methods and ensuring that the child gets a solid grasp of whatever aspect of GCSE English they find difficult. I possess a great detail of valuable exam tips and advice, as well as revision tips that would benefit your child greatly. Exam advice and revision tips are crucial for any child, as this can help deal with stress and anxiety that they may be feeling due to exams. Having just graduated from school a year ago, I can remember exactly what it was to be a student. I have enough experience to deal with whatever level you feel your child is at and there is always room for improvement amongst every child.
