When I was in secondary school, I didn't enjoy Maths at all. It was a really difficult and intimidating subject and I never felt that the topics I struggled with were properly explained to me, so this dislike reflected in poor performance in my earlier years.
This attitude changed when I started taking tutoring during my GCSEs, which completely improved my outlook on Maths. Being able to speak to someone who could simplify topics I found difficult and show me new ways to tackle previously intimidating questions transformed Maths from my weakest subject to my strongest and favourite, resulting in my achieving a Grade 8 at GCSE (A* Equivalent).
Since then, I have wanted to be able to provide the same help and guidance to other students who may be in the same situation I was, and show that Maths doesn't need to be a scary subject!

When teaching, my first priority is to get to know how you operate - Do you want me to teach you specific concepts in a more traditional lesson style? Do you already understand the basics and want to learn how to approach tougher questions on specific topics? Would you like to go through a specific set of questions (e.g. test papers or homework) and have my help when you need it? The choice on which way you learn best is yours!

The typical length of these sessions would be for 1 hour, but this can vary depending on the student's wishes and availability.
