My lessons tend to focus upon a mixture of me talking and explaining a topic before working through some examples with you and then towards the end of a lesson having the student more independently answer questions with some input from me where needed. I also set work if this is preferable for the student between lessons to consolidate their knowledge, and mark this too if they are struggling on a particular topic.
My methods sometimes vary from student to student as I tend to find a balance that’s best for each particular student and then I stick with this. In general, I receive a large amount of positive feedback from all students I teach from this, as long as they show some desire to achieve in the specific subjects being studied. I have managed to successfully change Ds to As/A*s in A Level Maths, Physics and Economics, and 4s to 8s/9s in GCSE subjects too.
If you want a diligent, patient and resourceful student, then I may well suit your needs. I tutor students of all ages ranging between 4-18, and I have a vast amount of experience both in person and online. I also have a vast amount of flexibility, although it should be noticed that I am a second year university student at Imperial College London, so I do not have QTS or any other official school-teaching qualifications, as I am a student who works part-time as a tutor for the subjects I have specified. I look forward to hearing from you!
