In my lessons I have more of a discussion with students than anything else if students have problems with questions rather than giving them the answers and not explaining how or why I got to that answer I like to take time to discuss with the student and let them find the answer on their own along with my guidance rather than me plainly handing them the answer.
I feel that this better helps the student to learn as it teaches the student the ability to think and problem solve on their own while also getting a better understanding of mathematics.
When I was learning maths in secondary school I felt there wasn’t enough emphasis put on this way of learning with teachers trying to rush through the course. When I got to college however I seen a new way of learning which gave me a complete new outlook in maths making it a lot easier to learn.
Am a younger tutor which I feel makes me easier to adapt to the student and to the students needs. I feel I am able to listen and understand the student better giving a huge advantage in their learning, I feel I can create and environment where students want to learn rather than having to learn which of course yields better results.
My tutoring rate is 35£ p/hr with online being the usual method of communication. However one on one lessons are available for people local to Dundalk or the county Louth area.
