I am currently in my final year of a Philosophy degree at the University of Glasgow. Throughout my degree, I have realised that the modules I appreciate the most are not necessarily the topics I am most interested in. Rather, it is the professors who make the classes enjoyable. These professors are always noticeably passionate and engaged when teaching the material, and willing to go the extra mile when I ask for additional help or clarification. I try to embody this approach when I am tutoring and do everything I can to make learning an enjoyable experience.
I use lesson plans in which I usually introduce the topic in a fun and creative way, then explicitly teach the material. Afterwards, I always ensure time for students to practice the material on their own. This method can be adjusted based on the subject and the student's individual needs.
My aim is to benefit the students I work with as much as possible and therefore I welcome any resources or suggestions students or parents can provide. Feel free to contact me with any additional questions or to schedule a lesson!
